Here at Sphinx House Publishing, we're very fortunate because, during the Coronavirus pandemic, we're all able to work from home. But we realise that there are so many people we all owe a debt of gratitude to:
  • the health workers - from the doctors and nurses to the people who keep the hospitals clean and cook the patients' meals, plus the family doctors, the dentists, and the many, many carers who are looking after elderly and vulnerable people
  • the people who are ensuring that we have food - from the farmers and manufacturers to the people who fill the shelves and man the checkouts in the supermarkets and those who pack the home deliveries
  • the delivery people who bring post, parcels, food and everything else that we need
  • the people in the electricity, gas and water industries who are continuing to work to ensure that everything runs normally
  • the telephone and internet engineers who maintain the systems and ensure that we can keep in touch with each other
  • the volunteers who are helping the older members of the community by doing shopping, picking up prescriptions and having a chat on the 'phone
  • the broadcasters who continue to bring us news - and also programmes to enjoy
  • and those scientists who are working tirelessly to develop a vaccine so that we don't have to fear future outbreaks of this awful virus.

Feel free to add a post telling us what or who you feel grateful for.
